I am Francesca, 26 years old, Italian, with a passion for languages and throwing myself out of my comfort zone. Up to here, quite easy. I don't really want to dwell too much on this question or I will end up boring you with some self-doubting ' who am I really?!' ;)

I think it's safe to say that I'm a positive person and easy-going to be around with. This seems to be the general feedback I receive from people around me. Moving from place to place has taught me to be open-minded and to make new friends easily. I enjoy company but I also treasure my own personal space -and try to be respectful of other's.

I love the principle of this sharing economy (bike, car, sofa) in opposition to individual property and egoism. I'm happy to support it when I can through Couchsurfing and by hosting friends. I think we can all do with a bit more human contact in our lives.

Also, I'm normally on a very low budget so that works for my finances too!

兴趣

My interests are various and tend to change easily: I like to keep active, preferably by doing nature-related activities such as hiking or climbing, but I can also be very lazy and spend whole days reading or watching tv series. On a good day you can find me preparing a big (preferably vegan) meal, on others I would just munch some hummus on toast. I like travelling but more than that I like living in new places for some time, so that I can get to know the culture and the people of the place better. I've recently bought myself a saxophone but I'm quite bad at training and routines so my dream of becoming a member of a ska band will have to be postponed.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hard to answer this question, and not because I've done too many! In fact, I think that the most normal situation can become exceptional if it’s shared with the right people and with the right state of mind. One of the last things I really enjoyed was throwing a party on the roof with lots of singing, guitarring and star watching involved.

My stays are normally quite short, but I think we can always learn something from each other - might sound cheesy but hey, I believe in it. They could be small things such as tips on how (or how not!) to make pizza (as Italian I’m pretty sensitive to the subject) to broader discussions: the fact of hosting a total stranger is already a big source of inspiration.

I love hearing people's stories and sharing mines, being them about travels, adventures or everyday life, over a big cup of tea, a glass (or more!) of wine or a filling breakfast -depending on the time of the day/night
