ABOUT ME

I'm a 33-year-old Italian girl living in Paris, France. I just finished my PhD Quantum Physics at Sorbonne University, so it's a perfect moment to travel and get to know other cultures and places.

I am an independent and positive girl, quite talkative in general but I also love sitting in silence around a fireplace or in a backyard, thinking about stuff. I'm a very rational person, being a scientist, and I'm probably quite knowledgeable in science and technology. But if science is my work, humanities are my core and I think that literature, philosophy and arts are what make us human and I consider myself to be empathetic, kind and sensitive. I like making good connections with people that I meet and making new friends along the way.

I couchsurfed in Spain and Denmark and I hosted people in Bologna and Paris for the past years.

Ok, talking about interests and leaving aside all the scientific stuff, and the "friends, watching movies, listening to music" blabla...

I love to travel. I haven't had many occasions in the past (problems with money and problems in my family) but I hope to make up for lost time. I love to host people who travel, so, in a certain way, I can travel through them and make new friends even if I'm staying here.

Musica, film e libri

I love fantasy, science-fiction books and novels, the ones that makes you feel inside them. I hate comedies and romantic novels.
I don't really want to go through a list of books. But just for you to know: I'm a Harry Potter fan :)

I listen to rock music, of various subgenres. Some artists I love: Dire Straits, Toto, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Nirvana, Queen, Jefferson Airplane, Disturbed, Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi, The Beatles, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Being woken up by the high tide in Lofoten Islands. Remember to place your tent FAR away from the sea, northern sea is a bitch.
Kayaking in the Naeroyfjord. I couldn't fell my arms after that, but it was really worth it.
Trekking all the way from Rauðisandur beach to Latrabjarg cliffs in Iceland.
