About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to travel

ABOUT ME

I made travel to be my mission years ago. I work as a tour leader during the european summer months and basically guide italians around all Europe. In the winter months I take a break from the "organized" tourism and keep on travelling on my own and, what's more important, in my own way. I usually do long trips and try to spend at least a few months in a country in order to understand it. I think I am a pretty well travelled person by now, I have learned to see the good parts of odd things all over the world.

PHILOSOPHY

A smile opens many doors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a beautiful city, Venice in Italy but I am very sorry to say that I still live with my mother and I don't think she is ready to host anybody yet. I am willing to get to know surfers in Venice and would be glad to join them for a drink or a coffee.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been traveling with Couchsurfing for years now and I am enthusiastic. I met new people, made some good friends and had magical experiences. I believe the best way to really get to understand a country or a city is to get to know the people living in it. Through Couchsurfing, I had the chance to get very close to the real soul of places. Thank you very much for making my travel so exiting and fulfilling.

Interests

It might sound very naiv but I am interested in people and countries, in their differences and their similitudes. I am lucky enough to be able to allow myself all the time I need to enjoy, learn and grow.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to jazz and classical music. I go very much to the theater, not to the cinema as often as I would like, because in Venice we only have 1 cinema. I read a lot, pretty randomly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am not often in Venice but, when I am here, I am happy to walk people around, trying to give them a new perspective of this already very interesting city I live in. I can spend time and meet for drinks or food together and have people joining me to some of the art events I very frequently attend.
