About Me

Brazilian student living in Germany and enjoying life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to explore different countries! Being an international student, I must seize every opportunity available to travel around and meet new countries, since I'm interested in exploring and getting to know new cultures. I think this is done best through meeting local people, because you can talk and get to know each other and share experiences which help you get to know a bit more about their culture and background. Couchsurfing gives people that experience of having even more contact with the place you're visiting, so I hope to find some hosts who are interested in meeting new people and having a chat, grabbing a beer or cup of coffee. I can't currently be a host myself because I'll be travelling around different EU countries so I'm not home - but it's definitely a possibility in the future when I'm back for my studies and find more suitable residence.
In sum, I want to explore the cities I'm in and experience the new culture while exploring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This might not be as interesting, but to me it was a pretty big deal - Leaving my family, friends, and everything behind in my home country, and going out in the open world to learn, experience, travel and enjoy life. I come from a relatively small/medium Brazilian city and there wasn't enough going on there to hold me - I wished for more. After graduating I immediately applied for a Master's degree in Germany and got accepted to the most interesting program I have ever taken part of. That, to me, was the most incredible thing ever, because the things it has enabled me to do and to experience are priceless. I plan on keeping travelling, studying and doing my doctorate here.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share world experiences, talk about basically everything, I'm always open to learning about new things and deepening about different cultures. My main study interests are languages and literature, post-colonialism phenomena, but I'm open to talking about everything. I'm mostly interested in exploring new cities and sightseeing different countries that I hadn't had the chance to back in my home country.
