Music student in Rotterdam for 3 years now.
Lived all my life in Lisbon, left at 26 and did one year of traveling mostly around Europe while doing seasonal work in Switzerland on and off.
Then I moved to Rotterdam to study music in university and have been here ever since. I don’t know what will happen next.
The end (so far).

I was an avid Couchsurfer myself for the past year before coming to Rotterdam so I just want to give back and meet new people.

Please keep in mind that I live in a shared house!
I have 2 flatmates so I have to be considerate to them meaning that it’s not always possible to host.

I’m not the ideal host if you’re looking for someone to show you around. I’m probably too busy for that, so I hope you also prefer full independence

I know that travelers look for multiple hosts at the same time because that's what I did, so if you prefer you can just be straightforward and just keep your request short and simple.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, to engage in mutual support. To give and receive.
In general, people love to talk about “community” all the time and it’s all bla bla bla for the most part, a big word that like so many others ended up meaning nothing, especially when you see the term being used by the big social media players lol
However, this platform is one of the very few things that give true meaning to that word and keep it alive. Anything that is based on trust is worth taking seriously

Yeah and regarding music, that’s a bit of a rabbit hole, and I don’t think we have time. I’ll just say I’m studying in the Latin department of my conservatory, with a focus on Brazilian music (whatever that means lol good luck interpreting that) but I am more of a generalist rather than a specialist. Music is music. There’s good music and there’s bad music (or music that feels right or feels wrong to you personally). Whatever moves you. And if that’s Taylor Swift, Dutch folk, Schubert or Guinga, it doesn’t matter, what matters is that you feel something. If you do, that’s the point and I’m happy for you
