ABOUT ME

I'm a metropolitan nomad (odd and contradicting I know. Long story. :-P) who is trying to find his way in life. I love to travel and explore life; I'm more of the path less taken kind of guy. Traveling for me is something I need for my sanity. It's not just the travel, but the adventure of meeting people, of just exploring and creating memories.

So I guess to sum it up briefly, I'm a free spirited guy that is trying to grow up; but my wanting of adventure sometimes outweighs my own path to "maturing." But hey now, with travels and adventures, we still grow and mature, right?

PHILOSOPHY

I'm just a strong believer in karma, but I also understand and admit to the fact that I'm human, and just like anyone else, I'm riddled with flaws. All we can do in this life is try to be good to others, in hopes that others will return the favor. I also believe though in the abyss... that cliff of uncertainty or mystery. Life is to be lived and not wasted. I want to live a life full of memories and adventure; if I don't have that, no amount of material gain could make me happy. Life in the end, is about simplicity; try your best not to complicate it with all the distraction and doubt our society subjects us to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm brand new to couch surfing, so I can't really say I've had any experiences; however a few of my friends have and they've told me that it's been life changing. I'm more of hostels, but I'm trying to vary that up, so here I am now.

Well I've got quite the random list of interests, but as a starter version, here they are: cooking, reading, musician, traveling, camping, backpacking, hiking, volunteerism, martial arts, smiling, not taking too much seriously, and extreme origami.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The list is pretty lengthy, but once when I traveled to Toronto, I stayed in a hostel in the heart of the city. There I met one of my bunk mates, and this guy literally lived in the hostel. He slept, washed and ate there; he owned no car, no house, no rent, nothing. All he did was be a guide for eco tourism; yet I've never seen anyone happier. He truly opened my eyes to how such simplicity in life can bring enlightenment and enjoyment.

I'm really creative and resourceful when it comes to traveling with your life on your back; I'd gladly show people some tips of things I've done to make a little seem like a lot.

I love spontaneously exploring a place, but I'd like to learn how to perhaps become just slightly more organized in my travels. I always tend to have a few unexpected financial mishaps happen. Talk about unexpected right?
