About Me
*FOR ALL COUCHSURFERS WANTING TO STAY AT MY PLACE*
right now I'm on a gap year and 70% of the time I'm away travelling. As much as I'd love to meet you, be aware that I might not be accessible all of the time - but I'll let you know asap :D if that's okay for you, read the rest of the profile and you're welcome! PLEASE read the "My home" section before you read the rest of the description.
Currently, I am travelling with my girlfriend Michalina. We’ve been sharing most of our Couchsurfing experiences together and it’s been wonderful.
Hi! I'm Franciszek, a language, culture and music enthusiast. I love to learn foreign languages (currently learning German), compose and play music. Since I graduated from high school, I'd love to travel across Europe and meet exciting new people. I find inspiration in new places and I want to use travelling as a resource to discovering new life possibilities and experiences. When it comes to more specific things I like to do in my free time, I like to buy coffee that I can't afford and then spend 30 minutes on brewing it. It's my ritual :D. I love Central Europe both for the languages, the people and the views.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I also find Couchsurfing a place where you can see more. Honestly speaking, I'd redo every one of my trips but with CS, as now I have experience with it. It's a pleasure to see things the way that locals see them and learn every day that you're both way more different and similar to other people. As I'm learning foreign languages with pleasure,
I'd love to find people I can interact with and talk about culture, food, travelling etc. Especially food and languages. You may see me talk a bit too much about linguistics or history, sorry :).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: there are two wolves in me:
one listens to Fontaines DC, Einsturzende Neubauten (if you know this band i beg you write to me), SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE (same as above), occasionally Queens of the Stone Age (teenage sentiment)
the other one: Mahler, Beethoven, Debussy, Chopin
I’m not reeeeeaaaly a film guy, but I like Lynch, Tarantino and Nolan.
BUT I love series: I’m breaking all the bad right now, and I’m looking forward to Calling Saul
BOOKS: I love books. I LOVE books!! My favourite authors:
-Kundera
-Hemingway
-Eco
-Kafka
-Schulz (Polish-Jewish author, go check him out right now)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I didn't fail maths in my finals in high school (I see it as a divine intervention). No, but honestly speaking every each one of the trips I did on my gap year - hitchhiking in Central Europe, doing Workaways, 3-week trip around Morocco (with almost only CS). But I try to see every moment as a fantastic opportunity, whether you're at home or at the other part of the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sometimes I may get a bit oratorical and too excited about teaching you how to brew coffee and experience it. If you don't like coffee, please let me at least try to get you to know the dark side of the brew :D I'd love to teach either Polish, English or basic French as well. I'm constantly learning new skills, especially foreign languages - if you'd like to help me with German, Czech or Italian, I'd be pleased. As for other things- I can teach you some guitar or bass, since I'm a musician.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook for you. What's more, I'd be delighted to do it. Normally I eat kind of a fusion-style cuisine but I'm still trying to max up my Polish cuisine skills because it is wonderful and let's not even start a debate about it because it will never end. I'd love to share my passion for travelling and culture, as well as my interest in foreign languages and COFFEE mentioned way too much above. That being said, I'm open to learning about almost everything - let me know about your interest and we'll talk about it!
