About Me

ABOUT ME

Desperately trying to finish my PhD, but still find time for food for/and thought.

Music, Movies, and Books

Things that I have recently liked:

Movies: Shame/ La traversée de Paris (film beaucoup plus profond que le sentiment que les premières visions m'avaient données)/ Bellflower/

Music: The Black Keys/ Metronomy / Bon Iver / Breton /

Books: L'appareil-photo

Classics:

Music: The Rolling Stones (They more or less have a song for everything on earth)/ Gainsbourg (The same can be said about him as for the Stones)/ Radiohead / Pink Floyd /

Movies: Le mépris/ Un singe en hiver / Woody Allen / Kubrick / Hitchcock/ La dolce vita (got nothing to do with the meaning of the current expression)

Books: Bartleby/ La salle de bain/ Crime et Châtiments/ La chute/ La lenteur

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In different occasions, I have lived abroad. It started when I was 16 with an exchange program in Canada (Calgary, AB). I did my Erasmus in Belfast (UK). I finally moved to Florence (Italy) for four years. During that time, I had extended stays (two to four months) in London and Montreal for my research and Berlin to develop my German skills (which however still remain very low). But this is surely less amazing:-)

Teach, Learn, Share

Food sided with a nice conversation and a pleasant beverage. Incidentally, I have some knowledge in labour law.

Countries I’ve Visited

Greece, Morocco, Netherlands, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, United Kingdom
