My name is François, and I come from a village between Namur and Liège (Belgium).
I'm a freelance developer, and I have a lot of free time to enjoy life!
I'm a nature lover, I enjoy going on adventures (climbing, hiking, bivouacking).
Being a pretty organized person in general, I like to get out of my comfort zone, meet people and discover different ways of living and seeing life. I love it when people talk about science that they don't think anyone is interested in.
I love cooking, trying out new dishes, sports, board games, cofee, music, cocktails and I can be passionate about almost anything! I'm definitely going to want to check out the local climbing gym.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I can easily free up long weekends, I want to take advantage of my freedom to discover the world, meet people and learn about their culture. Unfortunately my friends are a little less available than me. CS seems to be the solution.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't put into words how I felt when I woke up at dawn with the sun shining on a bivouac on a high plateau in the French Alps, a day's walk from the nearest village.

I really think that you're never better guided than by a local, plus I'm not very interested in touristic places.
