ABOUT ME

I am a french Canadian student who is picking up the travel life again. I am a very open minded guy and I am curious about most things in life. I basically want to learn everything and teach back as much as possible as I believe knowledge and experiences are what really matters in life.

Some of the things that I am really into includes playing music, sports ( mainly ice hockey, soccer and ultimate Frisbee), chess, reading philosophy and talking through the night while enjoying a good tasteful beer with friends.

My idea of fun is sharing some good moments with friends around a camp fire, going to places I've never been, meeting new people, trying stuff I've never done before and spending time outdoor enjoying nature ( while paying guitar of course!)

I also am really bad at this describe yourself thingy as I am more an on the spot ''feel the vibe'' kinda guy so you might be better off asking me straight up if you are curious about anything!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make of it. I learn as much as I can everyday and I try to always be true to myself. I always set goals and do everything to reach them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never used the site couchsurfing.org before, however I have a few friends who use it a lot and I have met quite a few of their surfers and I find the project really interesting. I have however hosted some foreign students for a few years for different lenght of time (some as much as a whole year) and have crashed on strangers couches more time than I can count during travels so I guess that's some sort of couch surfing experience.

Basically I love getting to know the people I host or that are hosting me as I hate the awkward feeling of sleeping at a stranger's house. So you can expect a warm response from my part when we meet. ( I don't mean the overly talkative type who won't let you go to sleep, but I'll talk enough so we can have a laugh or two and you don't feel like a stranger is stealing your couch)

Interests

Life.

Seriously just about anything. I like progressive rock and metal bands as much as I love Tchaikovsky and the romantic era. I love watching the Stanley cup playoffs as much as I can enjoy reading Robert Frost poetry. I am interested in mostly everything and I dare you to find something in which I won't find any interest.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like suspense movies a lot. Basically any movie that will make me think (life is beautiful, any adam sandler movie, the bucket list, big fish)

Books: Shame on me, I don't read enough any more... but anything from an historical book, to poetry , to J.R.R Tolkien.

Music : Everything. I've played in metal bands, jazz fusion experimental bands and classical duets and trios alike.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode a lama (ok not so amazing but I'm sure most of you haven't!)

I've seen the most beautiful night sky ever with countless shooting stars and northern lights ( in Yukon 2010)

I've traveled in Europe with a friend at age 16 and that was one of the most amazing experience in my life.
