About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning how to swim in the deep end!

ABOUT ME

Apparently I'm always travelling... but I haven't been travelling for a while now. I've just finished my studies and am loving life in Wellington. Looking forward to a chilled out summer working out my next steps which hopefully involve heading overseas at some point. I'm outgoing and always up for something new and exciting. I love going out for coffee and hanging out with friends - Wellington is perfect for bumping into people on the street and making a spontaneous decision to do something cool. I love house parties and good music (constantly seeking new music!). I have a passion for photography and science. Travelling tops include the delicious food and drink you get to try in every place, the different languages you hear, finding those random little streets off the map with an amazing view, cafe or bar that you wouldn't have stumbled across had you not been wandering.. and of course the amazing range of people you meet from around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

'A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step'

'Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we will find it not' - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some very cool people through CS - it's always interesting seeing different cultures through the eyes and lives of the people of that country. One of the best ways to experience another culture, and I think everyone should have that experience as a traveller!

Interests

Photography in all respects Whanau and friends - amazing Good books where you get so involved you read into the night Finding new music or refinding old music... maybe just music Science, psychology and particularly 'memory' Delicious food and beverages - loving the Wellington beer scene at the moment Having low expectations and getting your mind blown!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Too many.... Definitely those times where you wander and happen across the best locations/people/experiences

I remember in Austria, the person I was staying with and I climbed up a 2700m mountain with 6 friends in time for sunset and then slept under the stars, and we woke up in time to watch the sunrise and walk down.

Seeing the midnight sun (next step to see the Northern Lights)

I think experiencing Palestine, the closest I've been to conflict, was pretty eye opening and heart stopping - something needing to be revisited as a reminder.
