About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To stray from the stereotypes and main attractions in search for a deeper, stronger, and more unique understanding of cities, countries and cultures.

ABOUT ME

Hello. I'm a 24 year old mechanical engineer currently living in Hickory, NC. I have lived in New York City for the first 23 years of my life which has allowed me to experience a vast array of cuisines, culture and their people. Like many people I have been dragged into the social framework set forth by the modern age. I sacrifice my time and passions so that I can make a living and afford to do things that make me happy. Isn’t that sad? I am trying to break from this generalized structure and for now meeting new people, hearing their stories and traveling are my greatest motivators!

I was born with a passion for traveling, culture and communication. My goal is to travel the word; every continent, country and city. I stray from the stereotypes and main attractions in search for a deeper, stronger, and more unique understanding of the country and how the people there live.

CouchSurfing appears to be a powerful community of passionate, helpful and kind individuals who I hope can help me achieve this seemingly impossible dream! Even though CouchSurfing is about GOING places I also want to TALK. Even if I cannot travel or you have no reason to travel to may area TALK to me! I want to hear your stories, how you live, what you do, what you eat. So please feel free to message me if you would like because I certainly want to hear from you!

PHILOSOPHY

On this planet we have billions of people, living in 195 independent countries, all living differently. This diversity is what drives me, I live my life to experience new places, people and things. It really is that simple.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very new to Couch Surfing so I have yet to participate in any way, hopefully I can change this sometime soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once again, I am very new! I hope to have some great experiences to add to this section very soon.

Interests

Okay this is a tough one. I am a passionate, artistic and personable individual with an extremely open mind. During my free time I paint, sketch, write and create music. I have been a musician for over 8 years (bass guitar but am currently learning guitar) and there are very few moments in my life where you will see me without some form of music.

I have a big mouth! I can talk to anyone, anywhere about anything, I love listening to peoples stories and adventures as well as their problems and hardships. I also love sharing my own life with strangers, I find that it strengthens my passion, resolve and dreams; it allows me to see my own life from a different, ever-changing, perspective. People are exhilarating; no matter how ordinary, dull or unimpressive you think your life is you cannot be more wrong. Everyone is unique and I love the energy and high I get of conversing with them and discovering this day after day no matter where I look.

So now let’s touch upon some of the greatest things on earth; traveling, people, food and coffee! On this planet we have billions of people, living in 195 independent countries, all living differently. This diversity is what drives me, there is so much out there that I can travel every day of my life and still barely see it all. However, I will do my best to see as much of it as I can and it is the people who read this and who browse CouchSurfing who help make this possible!
