Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm relatively new to couchsurfing, i started this summer in spain and i this experience made me want to go on...

Interests

First of all, i like traveling, thats what i'm here for...The main reason for travelling for is not so much sightseeing, but rather meeting different kinds of people and their environment from a non-touristic point of view.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm not so much into Hollywood Cinema, but sometimes i enjoy watching Blockbuster movies like Indiana Jones or the new Batman.
In general, i'm interested in "independent" movies from american directors like Darren Aronovsky (Requiem for a dream, Pi, The Fountain) or David Cronenberg (Scanners, a history of violence), or european directors like Tom Tykwer (Das Leben ist eine Baustelle, Run Lola Run, The Princess and the warrior), Fatih Akin (the edge of heaven, im Juli), Aki Kaurismäki (Lights in the Dusk), Emir Kusturica (Arizona Dream, Underground).
So if you're interested in European/German movies, i can make you watch some really good stuff.

Music: The music i listen mainly to is american punkrock/ska punk (Bad Religion, less than jake, dropkick murphys, flogging molly, the mighty mighty bosstones, rancid), but also singer/songwriter music (George Brassens, Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer) and contemporary french music (les petites bourrettes, la rue kétanou, les cowboys fringants).

Books: I'm a student in sociology, so i read lots of scientific literature. When i read for entertainment, i like contemporary authors like Charles Bukowski, T.C. Boyle or Milan Kundera.
