I am a current resident of Columbus, Ohio. I moved to Ohio last year to pursue a doctorate in optometry at the Ohio State University. I am originally from Walnut Creek, California and was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. My heart still lies on the west coast. I just finished my first year of optometry school and I’ve been trying to travel as much as I can before school starts back up again in the fall!

I am brand new to couchsurfing community! I just got back from 6 weeks in Southeast Asia and am excited to begin traveling around the west coast of the United States. I’m somebody that loves talking with people and having a great time. I believe that you learn so much from human interaction and I think the couchsurfing community does a great job of incorporating that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I think it’s a great way to express how you feel. It can also make you feel more relaxed and tune in to your emotions. I enjoy all genres of music! But my favorites are folk/indie and country.

I am not an avid movie fan but I do enjoy a great movie. I am usually not one to go out to a movie theater but will do so if there is a great one out! If I had to pick a favorite genre, I would have to say romantic comedy or horror/thriller.

I’ve never really been a huge book person but I definitely have been as of late. I’m really big on better myself as a human being so I’ve been reading a lot of self-half books! I also enjoy reading books that enhance my knowledge. I’ve been reading some nutrition and finance books as well.
