Hello there,

Frans is the name. I’m an 18 year old Dutch guy living in Germany. My acquintances and dear friends describe me as an open-minded, 'gezellig', fun, positive, trustworthy person with the right attitude and mindset, focused on making people happy.

Love travelling and meeting new people. Hope to meet people on here to travel the world and form close bonds worldwide.

Maybe be able to host once I get my own place :) That will be in Leeuwarden in the beginning of February 2020. There I'll study Tourism Management in English from 2020 to approximately 2024, but time will tell what will happen. Hope to be a translator for Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese then.

I can name almost any winner of any year in Eurovision and can recall any song to it's country and year and place that year. I was in euphoria (get it?) when the Netherlands won in 2019 so I'll be going there definitely in Rotterdam.

Portugal is a country that just speaks to my heart and soul (likewise as fado) and it just feels right to speak Portuguese and be in the country. I hope to go to Porto as tiny vacation this month. Also hope to work and live there for a longer period of time (lots of ambitions, yes).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Different cultures and mindsets speak to me, so I hope to explore and live to find people that I have a connection with. I adore nice conversations (with some good wine or local dishes) and going out, laughing, sharing stories.

Also, friendships are the most worthfull things in my life.

I don't really give a damn about spending money, because meeting people on here is just a gift from the heavens you'll never find in 5-star hotels. I guess I have too much energy to be in such a hotel :) .

Winning the first price from category Expo at Kunstbende Drenthe and representing this province in Utrecht, also the possibilities and recognition and people who helped me afterwards are a gift of the heavens.
Focusing on my photography career is one of my passions in life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

At the moment you could stay at my family home. There are multiple beds and rooms, sinks and showers. I could show you around the neighboorhoud and there are bikes available as well. I could make you some breakfast as well in the living room.

Our family consists of my mother, father, my brother and me and one cat (she is mostly outside or inside sleeping or asking for food).

We can provide vegetarian dishes, in appointment also vegan. I'll cook those meals then.
