I grew up in Dallas, Texas. I have a German father and am currently living in Leipzig, Germany. I studied physics (twice!) but dropped out both times, and am currently working on a start-up developing software.

I know a lot about philosophy and martial arts, and I love to discuss and/or teach people. I like movies and shows with dark themes. I read a lot. I watch anime. I don't have much time to play games anymore, but I make time for good atmospheric and/or story games.

I like a variety of show genres but with a preference for adult and dark themes. 《Rick and Morty》, 《The Boondocks》, 《Atlanta》, 《Shameless USA》, 《Metalocalypse》, and 《Mr. Pickles》. 《Ghost in the Shell》, 《Aeon Flux》, and 《Casshan Sins》. 《Black Lagoon》, 《Berserk (1997)》, 《Elfin Lied》, 《Kara no Kyoukai》, and 《Shigurui》. 《Spice and Wolf》, 《Kimi ga Nozomu Eien》, and 《Welcome to the NHK》. I like 《The Knick》 and 《Adventure Time》. 《Black Mirror》 is sci-fi done right.

My favorite movies are 《Drive》, 《Stoker》, 《Oldboy》, 《Amélie》, 《The Shawshank Redemption》, 《Primer》, 《Perfume: The Story of a Murderer》, 《Conan the Barbarian》, 《The Drop》, 《Nightcrawler》, and 《Memento》.

I like classic science fiction (Heinlein, Asimov, Dick, et al) including 《Dune》, 《A Fire Upon the Deep》, and 《1984》. Existential and gothic-themed stories (Poe, Kafka, Dostoevsky, Nabokov, et al) and an assortment of other good books including 《Ancient Evenings》, 《Blood Meridian》, 《Lolita》, 《House of Leaves》, and 《Siddhartha》. I like the works of Haruki Murakami and Jorge Luis Borges.

I like all sorts of music and I'm not into any particular genre or style. System of a Down, Amaranthe, Yousei Teikoku. I like The Glitch Mob's album《Drink the Sea》. I've been listening to a lot of psybient, dark trap n' wave, and witch house lately.
