About Me

Hola couchsurfing community! I'm Fraser, a 24 year old English Language Teacher searching for new work in Medellin. I'd like to think of myself as a sociable person, as I love to meet new people and share new experiences. I'm passionate about music and listening to all manner of different music styles and tastes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went travelling with my now girlfriend and her friend around Japan two years ago. Both of them were using couchsurfing, and absolutely rated it. I think it's a fantastic way of connecting people from around the world and allowing people to form relationships they otherwise would not have. When I have a place of my own, I would love to host people aswell as being a surfer.

Interests

As I said above, I love music (listing my favourite artists is too difficult, I would say I have an avid appreciation for: Hip-Hop, Jazz, Rock & Blues, various types of Electronic, Classical, Easy listening, Pop). As a recently graduated Economics student, I like to keep up with current affairs in the UK political climate, and enjoy talking about how the global economic systems influence society. I enjoy a variety of sports, particularly running, football, and tennis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I have been teaching a high profile political figure English in Colombia. It's been a fascinating insight into the world of politics, and a really rewarding experience. My student is a champion of the people, of womens rights, and a true fighter against injustice, so being their teacher has been a real pleasure.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being a teacher in Colombia, I really believe in the benefits of language exchange. I am always keen to help people learn English, or if I can pick up some of their language. I am currently learning Spanish, so any help with my pronunciation and conjugation would be brilliant.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In
