About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring the new and wildly unexpected path I find myself upon.
ABOUT ME
Twenty one years of age, at a stage in my life somewhere between college and (money permitting) more college. Math and CS major, dabbled in dance and martial arts for a while.
Um... living in Oregon for the moment, but was fortunate to grow up on family land in the hills of Kentucky- beautiful place, and we were lucky enough to land in a little pocket community that was amazing beyond words.
PHILOSOPHY
Transitional? I spent most of my life as a pure breed atheist, only to suddenly turn deist a few months back; a lot of my philosophies are still catching up. Only thing I can really say for sure is that I prefer questions to answers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just started here after a friend of mine brought it up as a possibility for our trip to DC, but I've got more than one couch to spare for the cause- even an extra bed or two, as I've kinda inherited more property than I know what to do with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mathcamp. Not a lot of people like mathematics, so not a lot of people will understand this, but... five weeks learning some of the most elegant and beautiful things the field has to offer, surrounded by a hundred or so people who have an eye to appreciate it...
Teach, Learn, Share
For all of high school and most of college I was seriously dedicated to the study of mathematics, and I've picked up a few interesting things that are worth sharing- not even difficult things, at that (for some reason they hold back on a lot of the easy, cool stuff in mathematics and only show it to people who've already slogged through the tedious, difficult stuff.) On a similar vein, I know a fair amount about computer science that's pretty/elegant/sneaky, if anyone has an interest in such.
Beyond that, I don't have a lot of areas of knowledge where I really feel I can teach, but I'd be delighted to share on anything having to do with religion, philosophy or politics.
As far as learning goes, I'm an omnivore.
