As a retired IT guy, I still dabble in technology, but I now spend my time on my agenda, not that of others.

I'm married with children that live in various parts of the US. Taking care of our home and helping in my wife's business is where I spend some of my time today but it does leave some to follow my own interests.

People and the desire to get to know them and contribute to their well being are the reasons why I'm on Couchsurfing. I can experience and enjoy others by offering them a place to stay or learn about them by sharing their environment.

Zainteresowania

Music, reading, learning are a big part of my life and interest. I also enjoy camping, taking walks in the woods, and hiking.

My dog had taught me her language and how to play ball and stick, which we do with great laughter and fun.

My grandkids are my students where I teach them chess and cribbage, how to make a fire and roast marshmallows, how to pound nails and cut grass. and how to operate a chain saw.

My wife is still trying to teach me how to cook as good as she can, but that is a work-in-progress.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Classical, Jazz, new Age and some popular music are my choice. I love to read mysteries, science fiction, and some modern philosophy.

For movies, I enjoy action, thriller and love stories. Avatar is one of the best I enjoyed that contained all these attributes.

In 2005-2006, my wife and I designed and built our home in Western PA. We had help from Amish and local contractors, but as general contractor and owner/builder, it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life.

In 2014, I also hiked my first 14,000 ft mountain in Colorado with my son and his family (including his two huskies). This achievement was particular amazing since, at the time, I also suffered from a mild case of aortic stenosis.

There have been a fair amount of amazing things that I have done that I'm not proud of. It is best not discussed, but worth noting that I have learn many of life's hard lessons this way.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I never was an official teacher, but i did a fair amount of it working in IT and now in my wife's pottery studio.

Food, wine, conversation, music, quite, stars, and a place a place to sleep.

We have a guest private bedroom. We also have two lofts where we can accommodate two guests each. However, they must be able to climb a ladder.

In the summer, we can offer a camping cabin or tent space.
