Spent my entire life in one place till 19, until I decided the world was too big and I couldn't see my life being so planned out I'd never see new places. I applied to colleges in the States, somehow ended up at Oregon and life has never been the same since. After college I moved Shanghai, working as a healthcare consultant. Now I'm moving to New Haven, CT - love to meet new friends :-)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
In my third year of living here. My relationship with Shanghai has evolved and the city has grown on me. I feel there is this analogy that living in this city is similar to the phases of school. Freshman year, you don't know anything; sophomore year, you know everything; junior year, you're too cool for school; and senior year, you don't know whether you will graduate or stay in this phase for a while.

- Spending way too much money at Watching Sports - Saying “I’m so excited!” without showing any emotion on my face - Replying to email almost instantly - Not replying to text messages at all, ever, then remembering to reply days later - Unfollowing ignorant people on my WeChat - Fully planning fictional trips down to the most specific details - Uncontrollably craving Chic-Fil-A on workday (when I was working at RTP) and ordering the same meal for an entire year - Parallel parking - Not winning raffles/drawings/lottery - Making a mess in the kitchen - Laughing at inappropriate times
