Hey my name is Freddy. I‘m from a little town situated in southern Germany. I graduated from highschool last year and now I‘ve decided to travel the world. I‘m a very curious person who‘s always eager to get to know many people from many different places. Apart from that I‘m very interested in diving into new cultures and take part in their every day life and routine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer couch surfing because it’s the best way to meet many locals, so that I see a new city/country through the eyes of a person who lives there instead of being a regular tourist. I’m a person who enjoys interacting with people that I’ve just met, that’s why it’s a good opportunity for me to make new friends. I’m looking very forward to spending a lot of nice evenings and having quality time with those people.

Interests

I’m a very sportive person and love nature, that’s why I mostly combine these two interests, for example go hiking or swimming in the ocean. On the other side, I also like having silent days on which I grab my favourite book and read it in a nice area, or go for a walk with my dogs. But of course, my family and friends are a big part of my everyday life and we often discover the precious German beer and wine culture together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I’m a person who likes many different kinds of music (depending on my mood) but I definitely prefer oldies
Movies: I watch movies from all genres, expect horror movies
Books: I like switching between fictional and non-fictional books, again, depending on my mood and the place where I’m reading them

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Luckily I was born into a family who loves traveling, that’s why I’ve kinda grown up spending a lot of time in many different countries - the reason why I have had heaps of awesome memories. But one of my best experiences was definitely my exchange year that I did in Hawaii where I got the chance to go snorkeling with a Mantaray

Teach, Learn, Share

As I already mentioned, I love getting to know different cultures and get inspired by people who follow different traits and traditions. Not to forget, I want to learn new languages and become a profi in playing the ukulele. In return for that, I think it would be pretty cool for most people to make a German friend who can help them to become a profi in drinking;)
