About Me
I must admit coming up with something original and creative here that depicts who I am is frustrating. It seems everyone is normal, down-to-earth, friendly, etc. How does one put into words who he is without producing something riddled with clichés and tired phrases? This is what I have come up with so far...
I think of myself as a optimist yet also a realist. I look for the good in every person I meet and in every intention and gesture made, however I am by no means naïve. I like to think of myself as easily maintained, and it is far more important to me that I enjoy the company I am with rather than feel the need to entertain or be entertained. Just being yourself is seriously underrated these days, but it is a lot easier than the alternative!
Some of my personal philosophies:
If you want the world to be a better place, then start by bettering yourself.
Become the kind of person you want others to emulate.
Chance and risk are elements of the adventure of life. Acknowledge the potential consequences (good and bad) and do not lament your choice. A life without risks is no life at all.
Practice anonymous and random acts of kindness. They cause you to look beyond your own situation and recognize the needs of others.
Always be kind to the people who are there to help and serve you. A smile and a thank you has more positive impact on someone's day than you might think.
No one ever advanced in life or discovered anything new and exciting by maintaining a closed mind.
