CURRENT MISSION

What's the purpose of life? The closest I've come to finding out is: To be happy! That's pretty much always my goal. That and making new acquaintances and collecting experiences.

ABOUT ME

Well. A few years ago I took the decision to move to China...more or less out of the blue. That led to quite the change in my life, to meetings with many people who are still very important in my life and some others I will never forget (until old age sets in at least :) ), it also led to a strong interest for Asia that I do not know how to shake. I eventually went back to Europe...but ended up in China again, where I still live .

PHILOSOPHY

New experiences, meeting new people and learning new things are what I live for. If I start something I finish it, no half-measures! Try to stay on the positive side of life..no need to add to the misery of the world with a foul mood. When I meet someone that have (in my mind) strange or different ideas I kind of like to try to look at things from their side..it's good to try to avoid judging someone on the sole basis of them having another opinon than your own.
Things don't need to be grand. There is much to be had in the simple things of life. I have had moments meeting a stranger in an airport that have been better then climbing the walls of Colosseum.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have some experience, having surfed and hosted in some 10-ish countries...have been to some parties and met some great life wizards who introduced me to Couchsurfing. It think it is a very nice way of combining traveling and meeting new people...two of my big interests and that is why I signed up. Considerably less interested in hosting people who are mainly in it for finding a free place to stay.

Música, películas y libros

My taste in music changes according to my mood and I listen to almost anything. If I was to choose only one English speaking musician I would have to say Tom Waits.
Books...oh, there are so many so there is no use mentioning any special one. Movies..I like them in a cinema. An empty theater with just some friends would be preferred thank you.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I've had some amazing experiences in my life. One of the best would be having coffee with my grandfather in front of a fire in the forest, watching the sunrise...you might think that seems ordinary...but ordinary is often better than unusual things.

I seem to have a special interest for languages. I also know one or two things about science. Perhaps I can share something of that, but in reality I think what you can learn from me and what I can learn from you will be different depending on who you are and how we interact together.
