ABOUT ME

My name is Frédéric. I just turned 35, and I feel like my life is only beginning. I try to spend a lot of time travelling, but not as much as I would love to. For more than eight years now, I've been working from home, dealing with the everyday life of a website.

People should know, that despite the positive comments left by the people I've met in Eastern and Northern Europe, I can be a little bit "rough". I'm from the North-East of France, where people are known to be like that, but once they get to know you, they open their heart like nobody else does. If you're ok with my Viking ancestors, then you're more than welcome to come to my place.

If you choose to ask for my couch, you also need to know that I talk a lot. Like, a lot. Really. If you're not afraid to spend hours talking about everything, you're (once again) more than welcome! I came through a lot of personal stuff recently, so I might be talking even more than usual. You have been warned. If you start talking about trains in Eastern Europe, you won't sleep for three days but I'll make coffee.

I am more likely to be seen in an old Serbian train than in the latest nightclub in town, if you see what I mean. I don't own a television, but I usually read newspapers during my lunch break. If you are okay with all the negative aspects of my personality, I will be very happy to welcome you.

Being hosted, I was looking forward to it, I enjoyed it!

Hosting whenever it will be possible. Working from home means working a lot - at least for me. Working on side projects too doesn't help. But I know I should try to find more free time.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

23.000 kms by train through 25 countries in 400 hours - from May '09 to now on - that's a start.

A 5.000 kms road-trip in Europe in 2013, a 6.000 kms road-trip in the UK & Ireland in 2014, a 4.500 kms road-trip in Macedonia and Albania in 2015.

And what about crossing the Arctic Circle in Finland?

Moving in Romania for a few months in 2004 was a hell of a move and changed me forever.

Singing in bars with friends when I was much younger.

Moving all my stuff abroad, driving a French van on UK roads. UK drivers are so much better though. I just love planning and doing things.

The best is yet to come, trying to develop my font business in the future.

Overcoming my fear of flying and spending 3 weeks in Japan in 2017. Travelling more than 100.000 kms since then.
