About Me
ABOUT ME
European man. 21 years old. Love to travel, read, and all sorts of beer.
What else..
I'm an open guy, funny if I should say so myself. I really love to read and I do read alot! Still, I try not to let that kill my social life. I mostly read literature from the 20th century.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't have a philosophy, I think one should be careful of limiting himself to a few sentences to govern his life.
I do have some things I strive for in this life, and that is trying to be good to others, so that hopefully I'll receive somewhat the same treatment. I try to be open to cultures and people and thoughts and not let dogma get in the way of understanding; in this line of thought I'm really influenced by James Joyce and Stefan Zweig, and they're experiences and thoughts on cosmopolitanism and I try to look on Europe as my home. I want to soak this entire amazing continent and learn about the people, the languages and in my future I would like to work with the development of Europe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only used Couchsurfing once in Bologna, Italy. We sorted out the details really late in the evening, but it was really and good experience and we had a lot of fun at Luca's place. He really trusted us (me and two friends) although we had never met before. That's what I love about Couchsurfing; trusting.
Interests
Literature, first and foremost. I try to get by a lot of different authors and love to just dive in an absorb the entire works of authors if they manage to .. well. absorb me.
Other than reading I love travelling. The past 3 years I've been travelling on my own and with friends in Europe and Asia. Some of the top travels these years include an interrailing trip in 2012, hitchhiking in the summer of 2013 and lastly, but certainly not least : my grand 3 months of travelling Nepal, Tibet and India. Those 3 months (April, May and June 2014) really gave me, and are in fact still giving me a completely different view of the world and of my home, Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lots of movies.. The Godfather I,II,III of course (I have a bad habit of sympathizing with bad guys).
All movies by Truffaut (les quatre-cents coups, peau douce, Jules et Jim) - love how those guys back then took the medium and changed it.
My main man in music must be Dylan. No one writes (wrote) like him. I like Beatles, Stones, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, White Stripes and Lou Reed.
Books.. there's too many I like. Orwell, Henrik Stangerup, James Joyce, Hemingway, Thomas Mann.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting Ayers Rock, Australia. Everest Base Camp in Tibet. Varanasi in India. Zihuatenejo in Mexico.
Paris, just because.. Paris. Paris. Paris.
Interrailing Europe with 2 friends in 2012, because that's when I really fell in love with Europe.
Interrailing Europe with 5 friends in 2015.
