Hello world :)
My name is Frederike and I am so excited about exploring life! Two years ago, I finished highschool and started jumping into the freedom that I have long-yearned-for. Already since an early age, I knew that I don't want to follow the "usual" path of an expactation-studded, achievement-oriented life with studies, a job and a huge load of work. I long for a way of living integrated in the natural rhythms of nature that doesn't follow the rules of money. So I started travelling, visiting alternative projects and building connections with beautiful people along the way. I learned a lot about myself in the last two years and I am eager to continue this journey!
Right now, I live in a natural house in the woods of Sweden in a small artist collective where I wake up in the morning with the song of the birds and have time to create, build, plant, dance, talk, write, read, cook, cry, laugh, play and dream.

I am very passionate about cultural projects such as theater, dance, music or performance projects and hope to dive more into that in the following years. I believe that we can create our life in a way that feels good for ourself, our environment and the people we are connected to - if we start looking at the blockades that prevent us from doing so.

There is so much creativity inside of me so that I can't wait to sprinkle the world with all my ideas. I am very curious about people, their stories and feelings. I really get excited about writing and interviewing people who dare to follow their call and listen to their authentic voice that is often pushed away so early in life. I start getting an idea about how much courage that takes.

Also, I am fascinated by intuitive music and its healing effect on people. I am playing HandPan and especially enjoy playing in the streets when people slow down and get a little bit more in touch with their feelings.

There is a lot I can write about, and I really like to take time for these things. It seems like we in our society often run out of time and do things quick and superficial, so I like to counterbalance it a bit :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am very inspired by the idea of sharing. It just makes so much sense at all levels: It helps to use the existing ressources as efficient as possible, it connects totally different people, it supports peaceful and respectful contact... Every time I can share something with others I feel so satisfied and happy! So when I found out about the idea of Couchsurfing, I knew that is the way to go.
Also, I feel like we as a society can not continue the way we used to. We need new concepts, ideas and people who are willing to share, cooperate and contribute out of their heart and without this "money-voice" in the head. So I like to be part of a community that shares these values!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm... For me it is already quite amazing to be alive, to feel a true connection with people, lose myself in music, poetry or landscapes and to dive into deep feelings. One amazing thing I have done is to create the time and space for that. With all these internal and external voices telling me to fit in the society somehow, staying authentic and true to myself is quite exceptional for me :)

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested, I can share my ideas about writing, acting, dancing, playing HandPan, improvising, vegan cooking and how to find delicious food in dumpsters :) I did little poetry/dance workshops before and would love to spread more of it wherever I go!

Some things I would like to learn more about: everything that is connected to dancing/theater/playing intuitive instruments/human behaviour/permaculture/natural building.. In fact, I can get curious about a lot when somebody is a passionate teacher and once I got enthusiastic I will not stop asking questions :)
