About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn by experience, have interesting conversations and find the best coffee places in the world

ABOUT ME

In short: I have a passion for music, I love to hang around with people, I appreciate a good conversation, I need at least one good cup of coffee per day, I like to take it easy, I am a flexible person, I don't mind changing plans at the last moment, I am always in for good food, drinks and for a good conversation, after graduating a year ago I am working as a project manager at a Dutch gas & electricity grid operator, I play the guitar for fun and distraction, and on a friendly request I can still show some breakdance moves which I learned back in the days.

PHILOSOPHY

Only fart when with people you truly know and trust

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently I am looking for a place to couchsurf in New Orleans for the period of the 23rd until the 26th of November. If you know a place or even have a place available. Please let me know.

MY COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started with couchsurfing in 2009 when I was a student at the TU Delft. With my student dorms we had a couchsurfing account through which we hosted people who wanted to visit Delft. Our dorms were perfect for it. We had a kitchen, a living area (with bar and surf-able couches) and a bathroom area that we shared with 18 students in total. I found out how cool it was to host people, show them around, share experiences and to get to know each other.

In 2014 I've had my first experience surfing a couch myself in Kyoto Japan together with my girlfriend. It was super! What I found so valuable about this couch surfing experience is that besides seeing Kyoto, we've had the chance to join a nabe-party our host was organizing with friends.
