ABOUT ME

I'm fun, compassionate and a seeker of adventure. Monotony and predictability kill me. Wanna explore the world, meet interesting people, do random things, live life by the seat of my pants (er, thats an English expression!), have a strong community of friends, and be a sucessful detector or filmmaker because I love it and want to impact culture, not so much because I want fame. Most importantly, to grow in my faith and bless others. I'm a Christian because to me life makes no sense without God.

PHILOSOPHY

Fear the fear and do it anyway.
I'd rather regret something I've done, than something I didn't do.(I'm sure there's a way of making that sound better?!)
Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all the rest will be given to you (I'm not so good at that one, but am working at it!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because it connects like-minded people. I'm very international and appreciate cross cultural encounters.

However I am NOT here to find a boyfriend or hook up with anyone!!

I've been told I'm a verbal processor ;) Im also quite reflective and ponder or discuss the deeper, things in life.

Only surfed so far in London, Paris and Lisbon but all have been good experiences.

Interests

Travel (obviously.) I love outdoor sports - especially related to water but I most regularly hike, and play tennis. I like seeing friends, playing board games, watching films, and going out dancing - the cheesier the better ;) Glass of wine at the end of the day and a nice bubble bath. sigh. Oh and fire pits. Love 'em.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love a real dramatic romance or tragedy or fantasy. Theres nothing better than a great book and nothing worse than a bad one...
Movies - the old classics like Shawshank Redemption do it for me every time. I love The Greatest Showman, think it's a powerful message of identity and accepting people in their uniqueness, and amazing music. And la la land.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

12 day trek in the Nepal Himalayas. Sunrise and safari in Africa. Dodgy Motorbiking in India. The hot springs in Versisht, India. The general craziness of Asia. The beauty of Laos. Ploughing a field in Nepal..the traditional way. Trotting on a camel, sleeping in the desert. Holding up traffic on an elephant. Sand sledging in Vietnam. The hot baths in Budapest, Hungary. The Sikh temple at Amritsar that's way better than the Taj Mahal. Delux house boats in stunning Kashmir. Halong Bay, Vietnam. Scuba diving. Zorbing ;) Travelling general class on an Indian train...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none! I'm curious about the world and think I can be a good conversationist. I am always happy to talk about my faith in a definately NON preachy and ram-it-down-peoples throats-kinda way, just because its something I'm passionate about. Also, skills I have picked up from working with youth and vulnerable people and the sports I have done. And my travels in Asia including many near death experiences...!
