About Me

CURRENT MISSION

DFTBA

ABOUT ME

I was going to become an art student, bought a plane ticket to New Zealand instead. It's been awesome so far and i hope to continue travelling for a while. I drink far too much tea with far too much sugar.I like to think of myself as an outdoor person and I am trying to become less of a web-obsessed, indoor-dwelling, pale and freaky nerd. I'm getting there. I am easily amused, easy to please and often sing at random moments.

PHILOSOPHY

The family motto is "Hold Fast". I like to think that it means to hold true to your hopes and your dreams and to never give up. To stick with something or someone through thick and thin when you know it's right, even when it gets hard. Or to hold tight when on a speeding motorbike.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm travelling at the moment, so i'm more interested in surfing but when I return home, i will be more than happy to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no Couchsurfing experiences- but hope to remedy that soon.

Interests

I have an unhealthy obsession with far too many TV shows. I like reading books- mostly bad urban fantasy but i like to think i have a varied taste. I like photography, doodling, pretending i can write and imagining i can play the guitar. I also love drawing and painting, although i havent done either in a while- i was in a bit of a creative drought but hoping that will change soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a massively varied music taste and love discovering new bands/ artists from all kinds of genres and time periods.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As i write this, i am watching my friend Amy reading intently about amputation and leeches whilst hula-hooping. Does that count?

Just being in New Zealand is pretty amazing for me. I've seen and done so much since arriving- I finally went bungee jumping after wanting to do for ages. It was awesome.
