About Me

My current mission is to find a mission to fulfill. :D

If there is one thing I am really bad at and I don't like, than it is self description. :D
How do you present yourself without sounding neither arrogant and selfloving nor as the last idiot nobody wants to hang around with. :)
Well, but anyway, I'll try: I am really open-minded, I think. But honestly, who finds one person on CS who wouldn't say so about oneself? Moreover, I am keen to meet people from all over the world to exchange experiences and opinions with them. I believe that only exchange is the key for understanding different cultures and people.
What else? I am resposible and kind. That's what my friends would say. Yeah, now it stops. I don't know what to say anymore. :D
Maybe just find out! It is impossible to explain a human character in just a few lines. :D

I am still looking for a philosophy because I think it is important never to stop looking for new things in your life. Never stop thinking about what you want and what you believe. And whats even more important: We should always dare to let go of former beliefs or thoughts. Open your mind to new things. Thats important! :)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

In the last weeks I had my first experiences with Couchsurfing and I am honestly impressed by all these nice people I met. I had only good experiences and really keen to collect more of them. It is definitly the best way to meet local people while travelling and I don't want to miss that on my future travels.

I honestly love traveling. I know, that´s quite boring because almost everyone on this platform is writing this. But nevertheless, I´d like to mention it. I also love photography which can be connected very well to my journeys. I think it´s so fascinating how you can capture a moment and a memory just through a little machine.
Moreover, I like music. Music is such a good company on journeys and I love how special songs or artists remind me of a certain moment or a journey when I listen to it later.

And, last but not least, I like everything connected to outdoorsy stuff. Week long bike trips, hiking, paddling.. Whatever. Only if it includes sleeping in my cosy sleeping back under the open sky. That gives me the kind of feeling i would call freedom.

Music, Movies & Books

Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely loud and incredibly close. This is one of my favorite books. But I also appreciate all books of John Green, like "Looking For Alaska"
Bill Bryson is good if you travel because he allows you to see things differently and not to take everything so serious.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I´ve been to La Paz, Bolivia for approximately 5 months. I saw the salt lake "Uyuni" and the jungle. I also went on a bike trip down the "Most dangerous road of the world". The time I spent in this beautiful country was just amazing and made me wanting to see as much of the world as possible.
