Overview
About Me
I am an adventurous and sociable person (I guess most people on couch surfing are) and love having new experiences, meeting new people and exploring new places. I have lived in London for the past 5 years after studying physics and philosophy at King's College London and then moving on to a hugely varied set of jobs including manager of a board game cafe, operations executive at a peanut butter start up and my current role as a volunteer coordinator at the National Science Museum. I have also done a lot of volunteer work and festival jobs. I think it is fair to say I am as eclectic as my jobs make me sound.
I have always had the travel bug (something that I get from my parents) and really love authentically experiencing a place whenever I can rather than just visiting. I have a huge range of interests: I'm a bit of a foodie (cooking and eating); I love music, especially live music and am a sucker for funk; I am fairly active, play rugby, swim, snowboard and surf and I also enjoy reading and doing the odd bit of art. I am very sociable and have a great time both hanging out with my friends and getting to know new people as well.
Having lived communally nearly my whole life, with a hugely varied range of people of all ages and backgrounds, I am very respectful of other people and their space. I also love learning through people. Having a network of friends and adding to it means great stories, new places to travel and things to see and new amazing humans to learn about and from and this for me this is the best thing about couch surfing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend Ella (who I have known since I was 11 at school) and I are doing one last trip around Europe together before I move to Australia permanently. We want to make the most of our time and see as much as we can. We think that staying with locals and getting to know people is a huge part of what travelling is about and we are really looking forward to getting to know some of you on our journey.
