I've been an Au pair in the USA from 2016 till 2019. During my stay I was trying to see as much as possible and learn about the culture and people who are living there. Thats where i experienced couchsurfing first and fell in love with the community and spirit of it. And after I finished my studies (tourism management) in 2022, I traveled for 9 month with a friend. We have been to Australia, New Zealand and different Asian countries, always using Couchsurfing when possible. We met so many amazing people by that and I loved it. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had a great couchsurfing experience with a friend once and figured out that couch surfing is a good way to travel on a budget and meet cool new people:) I think it gives you a good opportunity to really get to know a place and people who are living there.
I mean, no one can tell you better what the local experience is like than a local!
