About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel around and find the interconnects of society and myself

ABOUT ME

A wonderfully smiley and curious girl looking to explore all around me. I take particular enjoyment in being around others and noting how everything interacts and how it all intertwines. It may sound a bit funky, but all in all I'm just a sociable person, even if I come off as a little quiet; I'm also a clean and tidy person and really enjoy cooking for myself and others (so I wouldn't mind cooking for you or doing chores if you host me!)

I enjoy seeing society works in action and all the traces it leaves behind. I love to explore cities and find pleasures in just the silliest of things within, whether it be trying local foods, exploring old buildings, or even just finding all the out of place oddities.

People love me for my smile and logic-optimistic ways of putting even the worst situation. I participate in charity events involving videogames, and my presence also brings a lot of delight into people's lives!

I just really want to make people happy in ways I actually can, you know!

PHILOSOPHY

Explore all the ways that can make people smile :) (or just seeing how the world turns).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hoping to explore the people in meet with the enjoyment equal to the places I visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my encounters so far have been friends of friends and 10+ person convention rooms (which means I'm quite used to the sociable quibble and the near-nothing sleep space~), and as such, seen the best and worst in people (being stranded for a week in LA is mega unawesome).

The best hosts are simply people that can show or tell about their area and/or are willing to introduce the stuff they love. My favorite host was probably in Buffalo,NY that showed me the beauty of urban exploring (even if we never got around to doing due to getting lost and racing up sand dunes), experienced some of the greatest bad movies and fighting games from his collection, and showed us the local cuisine that my travel friend and I debated on enough to write a dissertation.

Interests

Videogaming ever since a baby, cooking, boardgaming, urban exploring, anime and such, getting into cycling, learning harp, and cute stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical tastes including a bit of everything, but is mostly comprised of non-lyrical genres like VGM, baroque and romanticism; such composers among my favorites are Hitoshi Sakimoto, Junya Ota, and J.S. Bach.

My depth of movies (and anime) isn't that grand, but I highly enjoy stories focused heavily on characterization and development (as well as unintentionally bad movies); favorite films are Love & Pop, anything by Satoshi Kon (and Breakin 2 on the bad film side). Favorites in anime include Marimite, Oniisama e, Evangelion, and Hourou Musuko.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing hundreds of others gather in a place from all over the world, on their own dime, with years of practice, to play some games with very high skill to help others in need.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy teaching people how to cook and can share some techniques that I know (and learning whatever you know as well). I know a lot about various communities in gaming, and can give a lot when it comes to the realm of videogames.
