About Me

CURRENT MISSION

not to forget what its all about

ABOUT ME

I started traveling around 10 years ago in my gap year and ever since I've been hooked. My main aim in life is to see as many places and meet as many different kinds of people as I can. These things give me great pleasure. I also love my life at home, living with my friends in Bristol. I run a festival clothing line that keeps me very busy at UK festivals every summer, but very free to explore the world in our winter times.

As a person I think I'm pretty easy to get on with. I am not a very loud person but I am confident enough and absolutely love meeting new people from all over the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I suppose my philosophy is to grab every opportunity that presents itself to you, especially the ones that seem scary.. they always turn out to be the most rewarding. Basically I see life as a ride that we've started so might as well hold on tight and appreciate it for all it's worth- the fun bits, the scary bits, even the dull flat bits. It all has value in its own way- you just have to find it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am here for now to surf but hopefully in the future, once I have moved into my new house properly and discussed it with my house mates, I will be able to host too, and return the favour.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always had experiences while traveling of people putting me up in their homes, and it's always been an extremely worthwhile experience. One that will always stand out is when Sky, a boy we met in Laos, invited me and 3 of my friends to come and stay in his village. We all ate together the food they had caught and prepared that day, and all slept in one room with mosquito nets separating out bedrooms. It was a wonderful insight into village life in Laos, and we were treated with so much hospitality.

I have had a few couchsurfing experiences on here and they have all been very amazing. I gained a new best friend in the world and some soul brothers who helped me out when I needed it most.

Interests

I love to travel, go to festivals, organise events, write poetry, listen to music, DJ, cook (I love cooking and learning about food) and philosophizing. I love traveling with friends but I also love to have my own adventures. I've always been an adventurer since I was a kid and crave excitement in my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music. Everyone says that but it's true. How can you narrow it down to a genre when there's so much good stuff out there. I like Reggae, all the old Pop Rock from the 60s and 70s- Pink Floyd, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Velvet Underground. I love going out dancing to electronic music too- techno, drum and bass. I also like music from around the world- Africa, South America, India.

I love reading. Again with books I like all sorts. I love a good novel but also enjoy reading something factual or philosophical.

'Sapiens' was amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's a hard one. I'll probably have to be broad here and just say India. I have only brushed the surface of that country but it was undoubtedly one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have just started to learn guitar I would love to become better and am always looking for teachers. I can cook well so would be very up for teaching my hosts some new recipes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, Egypt, Georgia, India, Jordan, Laos, Nepal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Syrian Arab Republic, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam
