Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been an avid Couchsurfer for many years, couchsurfing my way through many countries, meeting some wonderful humans along the way. And now, it is my time to return the favour. I'm excited to be on the other side :)

My house is a musical house, with an abundance of instruments and records. Musicians and/or music lovers especially welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fantastic with the exception of one bizarre experience in Florence.

I am interested in music, dancing, singing, permaculture, community and sustainable living, jungian psychology and dream interpretation, drinking tea, writing, experimenting with raw food recipes, hatha, tantric and acro yoga, language and I'm always interested in finding new interests.

Everything from the oldies, Frank Sinatra, B.B king, Elvis, Etta James, Ike and Tina Turner to worldmusic..Ali Farke Toure, Alpha Blondy, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Sly and The Family Stone, Shuggie Otis, Santana, Nina Simone, The Kinks, the psychedilic tunes of the 60's and 70's, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Jefferson Airplane, King Crimson, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, early Fleetwood Mac. Let's not forget Tim Buckley and his son, Jeff.
Two of my favourite bands, Fat Freddy's Drop and Trinity Roots, both from New Zealand. Their soulful, reggae style with a pinch of dub and a splash of blues will have your foot tapping and body swaying for many an hour.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Turkey to Norway in the middle of winter to see the northern lights...and saw a spectacular aurora show the first day I arrived.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have my fingers in a few honey pots really. I play the guitar, a little djembe, a little bansuri, I sing, interpretively dance and practice & teach yoga
