About Me
This stuff is always hard. I don't think anyone really knows who they are so in the words of a fellow Couchsurfer. I'm a happy generous tall Englishman. I'm a human who enjoys travelling and meeting new people. My preferred method of travel is by bicycle. I have lots of interesting and humorous experiences from my past trips.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My partner Alexandra and I are cycling our tandem on squiggly route from the Atlantic to the Pacific across Eurasia. We hope to gather plenty of interesting stories to share with you if you host us, and if it fits plenty of delicious recipes I can cook for you.
We have many cycle tours under ours belt, but this will be by far the biggest. I started crazy bike trips when I attempted a ride from London to Istanbul with a friend after finishing school but that fell apart when my friend gave up 3 days in, I restarted alone and met lots of awesome people on the way but i had to give up again after my bike was stolen in Foggia in the south of Italy. I then cycled from Venice to Yerevan in the following spring and immensely enjoyed the hospitality of Warmshowers hosts along the way. I have also cycled from Karlsruhe to St Petersburg and a couple of smaller tours in western Europe. My love for Tandems started with a ride with my girlfriend on a rusty old tandem to the Mediterranean, followed by one through the Alps to Zagreb. I like cooking new things and have been taught several easy and tasty recipes by my Hosts/Guests and would gladly continue that tradition. I

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty much everything. From Epics like War and Peace to trashy fantasy novels.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach English, German and how to fix a bike. And if you for some very strange reason are interested I can teach you absurdly complicated maths and science things from my studies.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook foods that other couchsurfers have taught me, I can share stories of my cycling adventures. I can fix bikes and teach you to do the same.
