CURRENT MISSION

My boyfriend and I have quit our jobs and our apartment to realize our dream of traveling! We've recently discovered a new way of exploring things and are currently cycling through South East Asia and soon New Zealand.

ABOUT ME

Enjoy living abroad and getting to know new people, cultures and languages. Seem to be moving all the time, so sometimes its difficult to keep up with me!

Using any free time to travel and socialize, love being spontaneous and not planning ahead too much! I am always up for a laugh and a cheeky drink or two.

PHILOSOPHY

Try never to regret anything, look at the bright side of things and learn from your mistakes. Don't take yourself too seriously!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am currently traveling I am not able to host at the moment. Would love to meet some more people on my way to have a laugh with and share experiences. If its possible to crash on somebody's couch its a bonus!

Very little so far but hoping to be using CS a lot while I am in NZ!

I love reading, in particular while I am traveling. One of my favorite authors is Martin Suter (i.e Small World). I have recently read two books of Khaled Hosseini (A thousand splendid suns, The Kite Runner) and LOVED it!

My music taste is pretty varied, so here is a random choice: Manu Chao, Jack Johnson, Radiohead, Coldplay, Bjork, Belle & Sebastian...

Movies are again quite varied but I particularly like the Tim Burton movies. Also really enjoyed the Pedro Almodovar films I have seen. Some others that come to my mind are Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Gran Torino,...

See such great places on my travels so its hard to tell, but Machu Picchu must be one of the most overwhelming experiences ever!

I have also been very touched by people's hospitality while we have been traveling in Asia, always helping us out when we got stranded in the middle of nowhere.

On of my biggest passions is jewellery. I don't only enjoy buying but also making it. Any color, shape, material...

I also love languages! Unfortunately I am not the most patient teacher (currently trying to teach my boyfriend German, poor lad!) but I more than happy to try :)
