About Me

ABOUT ME

I would consider myself to be...outgoing, curious, curly headed, athletic, goofy, easy going, and chilled out. I love anything outdoors - especially skateboarding and skiing -- a good beer, Vietnamese food, photography, and a good down tempo jam. That being said I love sharing these things with others accompanied by a good Q+A.

I spent the past 5 years living in Vermont while in college and then worked in marketing for a ski resort. I have since quit my job, traveled to Israel, Greece and Jordan and returned back to the states. Next stop, Colorado! Once I am there, I hope to open my doors to other couch surfers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people, especially while traveling. I'm intrigued by people who are the polar opposite of me yet highly prize meeting someone who has the same values and interests as me. I think everyone should like everyone.

Deep into my bout of the travel bug, I thought it only made sense to couch surf on my way out west and make friends along the way. I've hosted and been hosted by many over my ~5 years of traveling and can appreciate the effort that goes into hosting someone. I have no problem hopping on my skateboard and exploring town solo but would equally enjoy hanging out with a crew.

Interests

I thrive on movement and can most often be found hiking, skateboarding, biking, skiing, climbing, slack lining or generally exploring new places. I'm an amateur travel blogger and have subsequently gotten really into photography and creative writing along the way.

I'm interested in promoting diversity and open-mindedness, lgbtq issues, international development, community development and generally anything considered crunchy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love any sort of alternative/indie music. I find myself listening to unsigned, down-tempo artists most often but will listen to just about anything someone recommends to me. Right now I've been listening to...

Sylvann Esso
Shakey Graves
Tycho
Alabama Shakes
Glass Animals
Trampled by Turtles

When I can sit still long enough to read or watch movies they are usually somehow adventure or travel related. I'll give anything a go that is artfully created.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I most recently visited Petra in Jordan...by far the most amazing thing I've seen because of how tiny it made me feel. My favorite travel moments are usually the most humbling ones.

Otherwise, I still have so much of the US to see. I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I've traveled more outside the US than within the US....I hope this trip can open my eyes to what's in my "backyard".

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to roll a spring roll, hula hoop, skateboard or how to make your hair extra curly if ya want.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Music, laughs, beers, travel stories...I'm open to talking about anything, so try me!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, Costa Rica, France, Greece, Honduras, Iceland, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Mexico, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam
