Join Couchsurfing to see Kimmi’s full profile. It’s free!
kimmi (that's me!) is currently a business volunteer in namibia. although a boston girl at heart, kimmi's practically a nomad, spending (almost) too much of her time traveling or researching her next destination. she loves planning spontaneous trips to the amazon, food connoisseur-ing, Sudoku puzzle solving, cooking, and baking.
my focus during service revolves around women’s empowerment via income generation and girl’s education rights and promotion through FAWENA, an NGO under the Ministry of Education.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
to host and to surf, duh.
if you're passing through rundu and need a place to stay for a night or two, i'm happy to offer if i'm around! word of warning, though, i don't have too much internet, so request early! it might take me a while to get back to you. and if i've missed you, i'm sorry!
anyway, i've surfed around europe and asia and have had great experiences so far, would love to help if i can!
i don't have too many interests, but i have entirely too many to describe, so i perhaps will come back to this section in the future.
or we shall discuss and chat about said and/or unsaid interests over wine or tea (:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
went to the amazon by myself. no plan, no itinerary, no reservations (:
Teach, Learn, Share
i teach curiosity.
What I Can Share with Hosts
you'll have your own room with a key to the room. you'll have a china mattress on the floor to yourself unless you don't mind sharing with someone else. if i have mutliple surfers, whoever confirms after can sleep on the floor with a sleeping bag. this is highly, highly unlikely - rundu isn't exactly a hotspot for surfers, hehe.
you'll share the bathroom and shower with me! not simultaneously, though.
i do run on a volunteer's budget (pretty much nothing), so if you can chip in for groceries or whatnot, that'd be appreciated.
