About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See new places, meet new people, learn, teach. Enjoy life. Be free.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty experienced urban camper, wilderness camper, and hitch hiker. If you need any advice on any of those topics let me know. I have just left the psych field, and had been working in it for the past 4 years. I will be starting my new travels on the east coast moving north and south, and then westward. Some of the things I plan to check out are the Georgia Guild Stones, ghost towns, protests, national parks, zine shops, festivals/gatherings of all sorts, and FNB volunteer sites. I will be documenting some these things into a possible photo essay on traveling. If you are traveling to my area let me know, and the least I can do is meet up with you and help find what you need. If I am traveling to your area I would really love to meet up and get some info on your city, maybe pitch a tent in your back yard with my girl friend and fellow traveling buddy?

PHILOSOPHY

I'm pretty relaxed. I take things as they come. To me being part of a "non-conformist" or a traveler is taking responsibility for my actions. I don't assume and I don't judge. I am a teacher and a student. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to host or surf. I am looking forward to both. I started a group called "Urban Camping" where I, (and hopefully other people), post essays with tips, tricks, and DYI projects for squatters, campers, and shoe string budget travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I hope to have some good ones in the future.

Interests

DIY projects. Music. Mechanics. Philosophy. Travel, of course. Camping. Reading. Socializing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books-I'm normally reading some type DYI guild or instruction manual. I like Aaron Cometbus books and zines. I also really like the book Catch-22. TV-Hmmm, I have one, but I rarely watch it.Movies-I really like documentaries.Music-If you were to walk into my apartment at any given time you would most likely hear, metal, dub-step, punk, rap, 90's music, EBM, or psycho-billy. I can dig other stuff to, but that is what you would probably hear from my couch. Either that or me talking. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the northern Arizona desert is pretty amazing. I think the back packing wood gasifier I made from a you tube video is pretty amazing to.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ok, so this is a list of topics I can teach. I've also rated myself on the level in which I can teach. I know it's an odd list. I have started to post essays and DIY projects under the group "Urban Camping".Camping-throughly Urban camping-intermediatelyHitch hiking-throughlyPsych-throughlyFire arms-intermediately Creative thinking-basicsTree removal-basicsOld school car mechanics-basicsPhotography-intermediatelySong writing and guitar-basicsLeadership skills-intermediately What would I like to learn more about? Hmmm, all of the things posted above and what ever any one is willing to teach.
