PHILOSOPHY

Live life through the lense of empathy, even when people make it hard to do so. Be the change you want to see in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, my good friend Lydia suggested I get myself on CouchSurfing so at this point I'm fairly new to the tribe, but I'm looking forward to the experience of exploring new countries with new friends. Hopefully in the future I'd be able to show those friends what I love about my city too.

Interests

I've always been more artistically inclined than anything else. Ever since I was a kid, if I'm exposed to something that gets my creative energy going then I'm in my element. I grew up doing whatever school or community theatre productions that would have me, and ultimately it led me here to LA to pursue acting. Movies, television, and stage will always be at the forefront of my interests. Give me the Oscars over the Superbowl any day! I also have a pretty broad, and down right random, taste in music so I'm always up for trading playlists with someone new. I also love teaching myself to cook something new, checking out the always entertaining comedy shows at the UCB theatre in Hollywood, and reading the hilarious writings of David Sedaris as well as fiction.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list really, but I guess I could say my tastes in Movies lean more towards the indie's. I swear I'm not trying to sound pretentious! It's just that I've found that independent movies have so many unusual, joyful, and some times heartbreaking stories that never seem to make it to the multi-plex. Stories that make it impossible for me to take my eyes off the screen. I'll even admit that I'm a huge fan of the indie-romantic comedies, in fact, there's no easier way to keep me staying in on a Friday night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in the first grade, I let curiosity get the best of me. One morning before class I decided it would be interesting to see what happened if I tested the fire alarms. Turned out they worked fine, and the rest of the story you'll just have to hear in person :)
