ABOUT US (Mie and Allan)

Mie: I'm a smiling and openminded girl, who works as a journalist at TV 2 , one of the national TV Stations in Denmark. I love to travel and experience cultures that are different from my own. CURRENT MISSION: Jumping and surfing trough life, still living and learning :)

Allan: (Mie's boyfriend): I'm also a journalist. I work as a radio reporter at DR (The Danish Broadcasting Corporation) and, currently, I'm also writing books for a Scandinavian science magazine. The best thing about traveling is to experience other cultures and get to know other people. I also like to smile :)

We have traveled together plenty of times and been to countries such as USA, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland, Greenland, Jordan, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Germany, Sweden.... ETC....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mie: I had my first couchsurfing experience in Budapest when I was traveling with my friend, Cilie, some years ago. It was a very positive experience, and it gave us the courage to keep on surfing in other countries. After that, I wanted to open my own home to others. Hosting has turned out to be as much fun and positive as surfing. So you're most welcome :)

Interessen

Mie: I love eating and cooking nice food, food is not just something you eat, when you are hungry :) I love diving (got a diverscertificate in Aussie), sailing (I was once a seascout!), traveling and socializing (Beers, festivals, music, talking) :)

Allan: Music, traveling, hiking, socializing, sports, science, eating and drinking.

Allan: Regarding movies, I can almost watch anything as long as I'm in great company :) Having said that, some of my favorite movies come from the Coen Brothers, Scorsese, Villeneuve and Lumet. I love music!!! Authors: Mark Twain, Cormac McCarthy, Hunter S. Thompson, etc.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Mie: Iv'e tried diving at great barrier reef, that is absolutely fantastic. It is fascinating being able to breathe under water! Also, standing on the top of pic blanc in France skiing down or taking a swim in a waterfall in NZ...

Allan: Skydiving in Australia.

Mie: Touché

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Mie: I can teach you how to say danish words like "rød grød med fløde", or grenlandish words I can remember, from when I was a child. I can introduce you to the danish love to beer, and make traditional danish dishes like "bøf med løg, sovs og kartofler" :) I'd love to hear about traditions and living in your country, and how you do things differently there.

Allan: I can tell jokes.
