About Me

STATUS - Just got an apartment in Clermont-Ferrand, but I'll be in Brazil for the next 2 months, so only considering requests for April/2017.
Please, don't send requests if you travelling before April, as I won't be in France and won't be able to host.

I love meeting new people even though I can be a little shy at first. I'm not very good at chit-chats but enjoy deep conversation.

I learned that you can't judge a person for thinking different of you. So I enjoy listening other people's opinions and think about what they've to say.

I like sports: cycling, running, swimming, football, etc. I used to be crazy for football but that changed. I still love but don't watch it or follow it that much now.

Some people think I'm lazy, but I guess it's only because I manage very well where and how much effort I need to put in each activity haha

Love food, especially trying new things. It's hard to find a type of food I don't like. I'm not so excited about sweet food though.
Been trying to improve my cooking skills, with the help of Jess, who's a excellent cook.

Love beers. Guinness and IPAs are my favourite. Would love to try a local beer from you country.

Love music. I listen to all sorts of music styles. Not much into pop, but have been making some efforts lately. I'm always trying to find new bands.

I believe we can always learn from the experiences we've been, whether they were good or bad ones. I try my best to learn from every situation, every talk, every moment I live.
I believe in being positive. Somehow, you end up attracting positive things to you.
I believe in being good to the others. I'm sick of reading and listening to the news telling us about people doing bad to the others. World is full of good people, and I try to be one more. I've travelled, hitchhiked and couchsurfed long enough to see that the world is better than what's pictured on TV and newspapers.
Respect people to be respected in return.

Be funny, smile and don't worry about everything.

[Favourite quotations]
"If your problem has a solution, then you don't have to worry. If your problem has no solution, all worry will be in vain." - Tibetan proverb

"I love not man the less, but Nature more." - Lord Byron

"Whatever people say I'm, that's what I'm not." - Arctic Monkeys (bare Monkeys in mind ;) )

I sometimes think that if one day you have to write a book about your life, you'll save at least one page to talk about some experiences we shared. As we have so many experiences throughout our lives, I'll know I'm doing my part well in case you choose one experience you had with me to be in one of the pages of your book. And I hope you make it into mine too (:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a surfer, I'm a host and I go to meetings sometimes.
If you ever need a last minute couch, don't hesitate on asking me. Many people have helped me in this kind of situation, so I like to help too as much as possible.

I enjoy Couchsurfing as a sense of community and a tool to put us together with some great people out there so we can share ideas and experiences to makes us better as people and as a society.
I'm thankful for having met so many truly amazing people through this website, so I try my best to be a good host and guest.

Football, cycling, running, hiking, swimming...

I can't remember a day without listening to music in the past few years. Nowadays I've been listening a lot of indie, folk and alternative music. Lately I've opened myself to other styles too and been enjoying some electronic music,
Unfortunately I don't know how to play any instruments, but that's a thing I wanna change. I'm gonna learn how to play Drums till 2015 (postponed to 2016 :P). haha

Everything involved.

Really love go to bars and talk while drinking a good beer. If you know a good beer from your place, you must tell me (or maybe bring one to me) as I'll want to try.

I'm not very good at cooking but I try my best. Would love to learn how to cook something from your country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've just watch a TED talk from Ben Saunders telling about his expedition to the South Pole, walking for 105 to the pole and back to shore and than I thought: "Well, that's amazing."

So nothing worth mention :P haha

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure if I'm able to teach something for someone directly, but I believe you can learn a lot from every single person indirectly. So, if it happens that you learn something from me, I'll be glad.
