COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a child, it seemed like there was always someone staying on our couch. Of course, we were helping someone out who was down on their luck, not traveling the world. There were always new stories to hear and jokes to be told. I love it. Except on Saturdays, when our guest usually wanted to sleep in and I wanted to watch cartoons.

I'm sure I could think of something specific if I tried. But you know what? There are amazing things to see and do every damn day you're alive. Last month, I saw a large bee digging a hole in a crack in a parking lot. Yesterday, I stopped my car (and a little bit of traffic) to rescue a snapping turtle crossing the road.
