CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to see and experience as much of this world that I can before starting a career or a family. I want to visit all 7 continents and pee in the 4 major oceans :)

ABOUT ME

I am currently in Tokyo and I want to experience as much of Japan as I can. This is the part that i find hard. How do I describe myself or what do i say about myself? I am 30 and I have no idea what i want to do with my life. I joined the United States Air force when i turned 18 and did 4 years. After i got out i took some time and tried to figure out what i wanted to do. I ended up enrolling in college and am in my last semester. I am working on a bachelors in Religious Studies/Philosophy. I am not sure what I want to do with it--maybe teach? I taught English for a month China during the summer of 2006. Leaving China was hard on me because i have a big heart and leaving my students was painful. Even though it was painful i was glad to experience it because up until that time i had felt like an emotional brick wall. Every summer since 2005 I have gone to an orphanage in the mountains of Ecuador. I like being around people but I also enjoy being alone. I feel more comfortable in small groups rather than big one. It sometimes takes me awhile to come out of my shell. I enjoy playing games; card games, board games, and sporting game. I don't drink or smoke cigarettes but i do rather enjoy an occasional cigar. I love animals and i relate well with children.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can only participate by surfing. Which I hope will aid me in developing new relationships. When i return home and pull my couch out of storage then i want to host surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few months ago I spent a week on the couch of a buddy of mine in Maui and after that a week on another friends couch in Los Angeles. I knew both of these individuals and had a great time.
