About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy a European vacation

ABOUT ME

I am pretty much, an average boring guy, with a desire to travel and a need to meet people. I'm a weird mixture of shy and extroverted. I hope that this will break me of that initial shyness.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess the whole "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" really works for me. Sometimes I fail at that, so I guess my second philosophy is to work on making myself better at the first!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I live in a dorm, and don't have a couch... but I'm definitely hospitable in the area! I love showing people around. Oh and I really want to travel to exotic places in Europe this summer, but since I don't have a lot of money, I was talked into this site by a friend!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once made a trip from Pennsylvania to New Orleans staying in guest bedrooms of my parents friends... Not the most exciting thing in the couch surfing world, but I got to meet some cool people.

Interests

I just took up bass fishing last year, I guess it was my first real hobby. I also love history and religion, specifically the Catholic faith, but I also have a degree in Jewish Studies from college.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies... but not in the elitist kind of only this or that genre kind of way. I really liked the book Pillars of the Earth, and it's follow up World Without End. Otherwise I usually am reading religious books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode an elephant in Thailand, which was really, really amazing. I also got to see my dad get in a fight (verbally) with an artist in Paris outside of Sacre Coeur on Montmartre.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I was in a counseling class, the two best things I learned were why counseling works. One, because for 45 minutes to an hour, someone is listening intently to you, which we very rarely get in our life. And the second is because people believe counseling works. So, I guess if we take the time to listen to each other and give each other ourselves, then the world would probably be a better place.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Japan, Thailand, United Kingdom
