关于我
Hey there! I’m Furkan — a 24-year-old medical student, born and raised between Turkey and Romania. Currently in my 5th year of med school, but whenever I’m not studying diseases, I’m out there trying to “heal” my curiosity for the world by traveling! 🌍✈️
I love meeting new people, sharing stories, laughing over local food, and learning about cultures directly from the people who live them — not just from books or screens.
Fluent in Turkish, Romanian, and English — and always trying to pick up some local phrases wherever I go!
I’m respectful, easy-going, clean, and open-minded. Whether it’s sharing travel tips, cooking together, or just chatting over tea or coffee, I enjoy every simple moment that connects people.
See you somewhere in the world! 🌟

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
Because I truly believe that the best way to experience a country is through its people — not just the places. I love meeting locals, hearing their stories, sharing cultures, and making real connections beyond tourist attractions.
Couchsurfing is not only a way to travel, but also to learn, grow, and make friendships that last longer than a trip. I want to exchange ideas, food, laughs, and memories with people from all over the world.

音乐、电影和书籍
I enjoy all kinds of music depending on my mood — from soft acoustic and indie to energetic pop, international hits, and traditional Turkish or Romanian songs. I also love discovering local music wherever I travel!
Big fan of movies that make you think or feel deeply — like The Intouchables, Interstellar, Inception, and The Pursuit of Happyness. I also enjoy light comedies, documentaries, and international films to see the world through different perspectives.
Mostly into personal development, biographies, and medical books (of course — future doctor here! 😉). But I also enjoy novels that explore human nature and travel stories that inspire new adventures.
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I went on a road trip across the southeast of Turkey with a group of friends from 10 different nationalities during our Erasmus days. We explored beautiful cities and villages where locals rarely see such a diverse international group — especially meaningful for me because this is also the region where my family originally comes from. It was an unforgettable mix of cultures, languages, and smiles that I’ll always cherish.
教,学,和分享
I can share things about Turkish and Romanian culture, teach some basic phrases in both languages, and also talk about medicine or life as a medical student if you’re curious!
I love learning about different ways of thinking, local traditions, hidden places to visit, and of course — new words in every language I hear!
Good conversations, funny travel stories, cultural experiences, and maybe some Turkish or Romanian snacks if I have them with me :) Also happy to cook or help with anything while staying!
