COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some great experiences in Amsterdam through this website, and I have hosted surfers from about a dozen different countries. For some reason people from Poland seem to be particularly drawn to my couch.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Films: Tampopo, Clockwork Orange, Fallen Angels, City of Sadness, Dead Man, Secrets and Lies.
Books: Anything by VS Naipaul, Haruki Murakami, TC Boyle, Cloud Atlas, The Clothes They Stood Up In, a lot of 19th century writing, especially Mark Twain and Joseph Conrad.
Music: My taste is very diverse - jazz, folk, pop, classical, it all works for me. I especially like Suzanne Vega, John Coltraine, Radiohead, Lightnin' Hopkins, White Stripes, anything on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack, Camper Van Beethoven, early U2 and Chili Peppers, Carlos Guitarlos.

An aerial film shoot from an ultralight aircraft flying over the western end of the Great Wall - floating over rugged desert drifting into steep mountains with that amazing wall running through it all.
