About Me

I am 27 year old woman from Germany, currently living in Mannheim. I moved out of my parents' when I was nineteen. At time, I was striving to experience something other than the boring countryside village I grew up in. Ever since, I've been trying to make this come true and I am always open to unknown things :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been reading a crazy amount of books ever since I started reading in school. Lately, I've mostly been into Coming Of Age books like "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower" or the German book "Tschick" by Wolfgang Herrndorf... Haha, don't know why! Literary excellence is a must for the books I read ;)

Music:
- everything with a psychedelic touch - say Grizzly Bear, Peaking Lights or She Keeps Bees to name a few quite different bands
- House and Techno
- music with a melancholic touch like Bonny Prince Billy or Jason Molina/Songs:Ohia
- also these new Electro Pop stuff or more dream-wavey stuff

Films:
99 francs
Mr. Nobody
Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken?
Birdman
Grand Budapest Hotel to name only one of the great Wes Anderson films!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dancing on stage with a famous German band: Die Sterne!
Climbing on the rooftop of an abandoned department store and watching the sunrise.
Exploring the ghost town Skrunda-2/Lidumnieki in Latvia, a former Sowjet military station with 80 abandoned houses.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've almost finished my Master degree in Media and Communication Studies. So, whenever you need someone to help you analyzing media material such as films or the news or also interpersonal communication, get back to me.
I'm also a (theoretical) expert on Polyamory and other non-monogamies ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

First of all, a very pratical thing for all hosts and travellers... I'm very good at cooking! This might not be too special, but because I'm a Vegetarian, I know a lot of delicious ways to make vegetarian and vegan food.

If you'd like me to help in the household, I can also say that in the last five and a half year of living on my own in different settings, I became familiar with all kinds of cleaning or tidying up... sometimes, I even clean showers to do something that doesn't need a lot of brain activity when I want to sober up from last night.
