i am a book worm. a music lover - more in love with the experience music can create than specific songs and bands. dog owner - he's like my kid. horsewoman - i used to be a show jumper, then i became a cowgirl. worshiper of the sun - if i'm outside and getting vitamin d, i generally think it's the best day i've ever had. i also think good people are intoxicating and inspiring.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i had my very first cs experience in jan. 2012 and it left me beaming for days. perhaps because i study the news and the globe i am awfully acquainted with the doom and gloom side of the story and often question what happened to the good people in the world? where did they go? but now i know where to find them and i am ecstatic!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

not to be a downer, but i've recently been left awestruck by a couple natural disasters. this summer my (extended) backyard was the site of the largest wildfire colorado has seen in ten years. last week i was in an avalanche with my twin brother. the first was devastating. the second was terrifying. happy to report that my life was fairly unaltered by either - no physical damage, no financial/property losses. but they are certainly a reminder of how small we are in the bigger picture - how no matter what we build, where we build, what precautions we take, mother earth beats to her own drum.
